Samena Talib Awarded GLSHF Scholarship
Congratulations, Samena Talib! Samena is one of fifteen awardees of the health-focused scholarships from the Greater Lee's Summit Healthcare Foundation in 2021. Her award was for $5,000.
Samena says, "I am a first-year medical student at UMKC. I want to become some sort of primary care physician to help provide basic healthcare. I am honored to have been selected for the GLSHF scholarship. It will allow me to pursue my dreams of becoming a physician while easing the financial burden."
Since 2003, GLSHF has granted more than $1.4 million in scholarships or grants to a multitude of awardees designed to impact the health and well-being of the greater Lee’s Summit community.
