Katelyn Colón Awarded GLSHF Scholarship
Congratulations, Katelyn Colón! Katelyn is one of thirteen awardees of the health-focused scholarships from the Greater Lee's Summit Healthcare Foundation in 2019. Her award was for $5,000.
Katelyn says, "I attend the University of Central Missouri and am a student in the Honors College. I am excited to begin the Nursing Program this coming fall. I am very thankful to receive the Greater Lee’s Summit Healthcare Foundation Scholarship. This scholarship will help financially fund my dream of becoming a nurse. I am not sure what specialty I’d like to work with, but I plan to work towards my Doctorate of Nursing Practice in the future. This scholarship will help me to achieve my aspirations."
Since 2003, GLSHF has granted more than $1.4 million in scholarships or grants to a multitude of awardees designed to impact the health and well-being of the greater Lee’s Summit community.
