Brittany Kendall Awarded Scholarship

Congrats to Brittany Kendall! She is an awardee of a $5,000 GLSHF scholarship.

Brittany is attending the University of Central Missouri. The Greater Lee’s Summit Healthcare Foundation is committed to ensuring that education in the medical disciplines is accessible to our residents. Each year the Foundation will award scholarships to area residents to support their academic studies leading to healthcare careers.​Multiple scholarships are awarded to support studies in the following areas:​Medical School, Pharmacy School, Nursing School, and Other allied healthcare fields.

Brittany says, "Words cannot describe the depth of gratitude and what this scholarship means to me. Being the receipt of this scholarship is an immense blessing and extremely humbling. The finical burden that was lifted is unexplainable.

Due to the foundation’s generosity, I can now focus my full attention and devotion to my studies. In looking forward to the start of nursing school in the fall, I have feelings of excitement, yet anxiousness.

Knowing that the Greater Lee’s Summit Healthcare Foundation supports my dreams has inspired and motivated me even more to become the best nurse I can possibly be not only for myself, but for others in this community that I will one day be giving back too."

Since 2004, GLSHF has granted more than $1.2 million to a multitude of projects designed to impact the health and well-being of the greater Lee’s Summit community.
